Willa 1992 Chestnut Hanoverian Mare, 16.3HH by World Cup IV out of SPS Bummy Dam Line: (Bolero, Wendekreis, Graf) Willa, is a daughter of SPS Bummy and World Cup IV. An impressive mare, Bummy is the full sister to the Hanoverian Stallion Bon Bonaparte, who sired the Olympic dressage horse ‘Bonaparte’, ridden by Heike Kemmer. This combination placed 3rd individually at the Bejing Olympics in 2008 and were part of the Gold medal winning
Team. Willa has been a very consistent and reliable producer for many years, and she stamps her foals with size, big movement and lots of presence. She presents a great opportunity to combine her qualities with the modern type stallions offered these days. She is pictured here with her 2009 foal, Much Ado C by Merlin. West Side Lady
2005 Bay Hanoverian Mare, 16.0HH by Wellesly out of SPS Alabama Dam Line: (Acapulco - Argentan - Der Loewe xx) West Side Lady, is a lovely modern type mare with lovely hunter movement. Her Dam, SPS Alabama is decended from a long line of Grand Prix jumpers associated with the famous stallion, Argentan. She is sired by Wellesly (World CupIV) who has sired many winning upper level dressage and hunter horses. West Side Lady's foal (pictured above) by Landkoenig arrived May 24, 2010. Lady will be breed to Rubignon for a 2011 foal.

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of the lovely broodmare, Boomer and her unborn Landkonig foal. Boomer died of cardiac arrest as a complication of placental hydrops allantois, a very rare equine disorder that affects the fluid level in utero. She was a beautiful Thoroughbred, who had a successful career on the track before becoming a lovely hunter/jumper and finally a sweet and gentle broodmare. We would like to thank Dr. Rebecca Barnett for sharing her lovely mare with us for the past five years. We will miss her greatly. Boomer's Falcon is a lovely big Thoroughbred mare decending from the grandsire, Northern Dancer. She had a successful career on the track and was a stakes winning mare before her second career in the hunter/jumper ring. She is a beautifully conformed mare who makes a very athletic cross with a warmblood stallion.

E.M. Welkin 1994-2010 Chestnut Hanoverian Mare, 16.2HH by World Cup IV out of SPS Bummy Dam Line: (Bolero, Wendekreis, Graf) We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of EM Welkin to an episode of colic in March of 2010. This is the second tragic loss to our breeding program this spring. Welkin produced many beautiful foals for her former owners, Windswept Farms. We will have to look to her daughter, EM MImi to continue her tradition of producing excellent sport horse foals. E.M Welkin, one of several daughters of the proven combination of SPS Bummy and World Cup IV. Bummy, the full sister to the Hanoverian Stallion Bon Bonaparte, who sired the Olympic dressage horse ‘Bonaparte’, ridden by Heike Kemmer. They placed 3rd individually and won Team Gold at the Bejing Olympics in 2008. Welkin is a quality mare and a fine producer of dressage and hunter types. |
